Colleen Murphy (Chief Administrative Officer) -
Colleen started her career at Children’s Home of York in August 2011 as the Director of Human Resources. She has over 20 years of human resources experience including developing HR processes and policies, compliance, employee relations, performance management, recruiting, benefits, compensation, and training.
Prior to 2011, Colleen worked in the for-profit world of manufacturing in New Jersey. Then, Colleen and her husband, Jack, moved to Pennsylvania in 2003. During this transition, Colleen decided she wanted to start giving back by working in the nonprofit sector. She worked for a continuing care retirement community in Lancaster for almost seven years as the director of HR before ultimately coming to Children's Home of York.
Colleen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Political Science from Rider University, where she attended on a field hockey scholarship. Colleen is a Dale Carnegie graduate and a member of the York & Lancaster Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). In her spare time, Colleen enjoys spending time with Jack and their dogs Rascal and Ryder. Colleen is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and loves to exercise.
