JOB TITLE: Prevention Program Coordinator for Drug and Alcohol and Strengthening Families 10-14 Programs
LOCATION: On main campus and various community locations
REPORTS TO: Director of Programs
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complies with all Agency and Program policies, procedures and protocols in a professional and ethical manner.
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Includes all polices in the Employee Handbook.
- Includes established regulations, polices, and procedures by the Children’s Home of York, the Single County Authority at York/Adams Drug and Alcohol Commission (YADAC), and the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP).
- Includes established regulations, polices, and procedures by the Children’s Home of York and York County Office of Children, Youth and Families
- Adheres to the seven commitments of the Sanctuary Model.
- Work to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of both recipients of service and fellow staff at all times.
- Facilitates/Implements assigned curriculum, adhering to program fidelity, and according to established regulations, polices, and procedures by the Children’s Home of York and York County Office of Children, Youth and Families
- Under the direction of the Director of Programs, facilitates/implements assigned prevention programs, adhering to the program fidelity, and according to established regulations, polices, and procedures by the Children’s Home of York, the Single County Authority, DDAP, and county guidelines.
- Is familiar with the Program Implementation Plan
- Ensures that Prevention Facilitators and Child Care Workers are adhering to program fidelity.
- Ensures that Prevention Facilitators and Child Care Workers are adhering to regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare for each session, reviewing activities, assembling needed materials, and preparing/creating the necessary forms/handouts for each session.
- As directed by the Director of Programs.
- Implements pre- and post-tests provided by curriculum.
- Submitting completed tests as per program expectations.
- Oversees parent or student participants attendance documentation for each session.
- Completes and submits information to the PA WITS Data Collection System, within two weeks of program implementation.
- Provide on-call support services for SFP 10-14 when programs are in operation and as needed.
- Present LGBTQIA+ Services Policy to new hires at Orientation.
- Prepare and complete required reports and documentation as well as perform other required administrative tasks assigned.

- Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Programs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Ability to intermittently stand and sit.
- Ability to use audio visual equipment.
- Pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying as required.
- Must be able to describe and articulate events in both written and spoken English.
- Must be able to read and comprehend various Prevention curricula.
- Must be able to read and comprehend SFP 10-14 curricula.
- Must be able to read and comprehend reports written in English.
- Has the mental and emotional capacity to work in a highly stressful environment.
- Has dependable and reliable transportation to and from program location.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience specific to the facilitation/implementation of Prevention Education Programming.
- Experience in the areas of teaching, social services, and/or other human service experiences.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- 21 years or older.
- All required clearances.
- Be sensitive to and comfortable with working in an agency that provides services to a culturally diverse population.
- Successfully complete required Prevention Training.
