About the Children's Home of York

The Children's Home of York is a fully licensed and accredited agency which provides a broad continuum of services to improve the lives of children, adolescents, and families for the better. Clients placed in our care receive the support they need to overcome crisis-and benefit from enriched care, intensive therapy, education, life-skills training, and community-based therapeutic recreation.

The Children's Home of York's mission is to help stabilize and strengthen children and families in need. We take great pride in our ability to offer personalized care to those we serve. Our residential programs operate in community-based homes and specialized dormitories so our children feel safe and comfortable during their stay with us.

In addition to therapeutic recreational facilities offered on our main campus, we take full advantage of the many wonderful resources available in our local community. Children in our care enjoy routine outings to the YMCA, Graham Aquatic Center , Roll'r'way Family Skating Center , and attend York Revolution games-just to name a few of their favorite places to visit.

This year we worked with over 600 clients to facilitate positive change-and to make a brighter future for those experiencing difficult times. This website provides a brief description of our programs. For a more in-depth look at the Children's Home of York, we invite you to call us at (717) 755-1033 -- or better yet, schedule a tour.
